Frequently asked Questions

Do you have a waiting room?
No. In some unforeseen circumstances where I run over you will need to wait in your car a little longer.

What shall I bring to my appointment?
I would appreciate it if you could bring shorts with you or if you are very keen to have them on under your clothing. Alternatively may wish to wear loose trousers. I would like to suggest that ladies wear appropriate clothing so that I may see the whole shoulder (e.g., vest tops).

Please bring with you an up to date medication list and insurance details if applicable.

How much treatment will I need?
This can depend upon the length of time you have had the problem to the type of problem you have (the pathology). Remember if you do not need treatment I will tell you so!

Can I go through my health insurance?
Yes. I am covered by most insurance companies and provided you let me know sooner to seeing you I can speedily affiliate myself with your company. Just inform your GP that your are insured and communicate with your health insurance and me as necessary

Do I have to have a referral from my GP?
No, not if you are self-pay. If you have medical insurance then you will find that most insurance companies require a GP referral to qualify for physiotherapy. The GP may send the referral to me directly or pass it to you to give to me. .
